Drain Cleaning, Repairs, Replacements, & Maintenance in the Inland Empire

Slow drains are the bane of property owners everywhere. A slow drain is not only annoying but can lead to foul smells, stained sinks or tubs, and so much more. To make matters worse, a slow drain is more likely to stop completely, as this is a sign that the drain line already has a significant blockage that’s obstructing the path of water and waste. What Causes Drain Clogs?

Everyone knows drain clogs are a part of life, but do you know the common causes of clogs? In many cases, carelessness is to blame. We don’t often think about what’s going down the drain, mainly because drains work so well that they are often “out of sight, out of mind.” However, debris that was not meant to go down the drain can accumulate to form a nasty clog that’s extremely difficult to get rid of. In other cases, clogs can form due to the passage of time and the normal day-to-day use of your drain. Even things that you normally would put down the drain can contribute to clogging, and that means it’s almost inevitable that you’ll be dealing with this issue at some point.

Knowing when to call our team is vital. Schedule an appointment if you experience any of the following:

  • Slow or completely stopped drains
  • Unpleasant smells coming from your drains
  • Overflowing toilets
  • Gurgling noises from drains
  • Sewage backing up into your sinks or showers

How We Clean Drains

At Ground Werks Plumbing and Rooter, we use a number of different methods to get the clogs and blockages out of your drain lines. For smaller clogs or blockages in smaller lines, we offer snake and auger services. These types of clog removal use a specialized tool to drill into blockages and pull them out of the lines they’re stuck in. This solution tends to work well for small obstructions but doesn’t usually get rid of the issue completely. However, for a blockage in your bathroom sink or shower, this may be exactly what you’re looking for.

For bigger issues, we offer hot and cold hydrojetting services to obliterate the obstruction while also cleaning and scrubbing the scale and debris off of the walls of your plumbing line. We will then inject a degreaser into the line to help remove stubborn grease build up and get the line flowing again. This method is great for a variety of different drains including sewer main lines.

What Is Hydrojetting?

The hydrojetting process uses two simple tools: a specialized nozzle with a jet on the front and around the sides, and a high-pressure water jetting machine. The nozzle is fed into the clogged drain line, and the jetting machine is turned on, allowing the tool to spray jets of water at pressures around 5,000 PSI. The jet of water does two things: clears blockages and clogs in front of the tool as it is fed up the line and simultaneously scrubs scale and residue off the walls of your plumbing line.

There are several benefits of having professional hydrojetting services. In the past, a clogged pipe inside a wall or under the ground required tearing open your walls or digging up your landscaping to get to the blockage. Today, we can eliminate blockages and clogs by simply going into the line through your sewer output or through a drain access port.

Hydrojetting removes all common blockages, including:

  • Food waste
  • Hair
  • Soap scum
  • Human waste (urine or fecal matter)
  • Sludge
  • Tree roots
  • Foreign objects, including hygiene products and things that accidentally got swept down the drain

On top of that, we can even locate the clog in advance before starting, thanks to modern plumbing inspection cameras that feed a high-definition picture up to our plumbers. This allows us to locate a clog, determine what it is, and find the best way to get rid of it before we even begin.

Why Choose Hydrojetting?

Hydrojetting offers a number of benefits that other types of drain cleaning solutions simply can’t match. In short, hydrojetting is the fastest, safest, and most effective way to eliminate nearly any clog from almost any drain without damaging the line. Because the process only uses water and no harmful chemicals, you don’t have to worry about potentially weakening the line itself, meaning there is less of a chance you will need a repair or full replacement. That also makes the process eco-friendly for businesses that have stringent health and safety standards, such as restaurants, or homeowners looking to decrease their environmental impact.
